Install Freezes During Registering Modules

My target installation freezes during Regsitering Modules. I just added Crystal Reports Module 9. If I try to cancel, InstallShield asks if I want to cancel the install, I answer yes and it remains at the Registering Modules screen. I have to power-down the PC to recover. I then try a re-install under Win2K and get Error 1402: Could not open key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Decisions\\Crystal Reports\Database. (Double \\ is not a typo).

When I try a re-install under WinXP it freezes at the Registering Modules step.

Contacted rpotash offiline. This problem seems to occur if you haven't given a valid license number to the "Seagate Registration Wizard" merge module. This is a configurable merge module that comes with Crystal Reports 9. When you select it in Express, a dialog should pop up asking for a serial number. Once you enter the number and build, the problem should go away.
