I'm having problems posting this URL:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/msi/setup/installing_multiple_instances_of_products_and_patches.asp?frame=true

When posting it as text the board software not only breaks the line, but it also inserts a blank between ...setup/ and installing_multiple... If you look at the source code of this post you'll notice that there isn't a blank.

If posting this as URL (or with automatic parsing) the line break it inserts gets converted to a <br /> in the URL:
Check this URL (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/msi/setup/installing_multiple_instances_of_products_and_patches.asp?frame=true)
This together with the inserted blank makes the link unusable.

Stefan,

Thank you for the heads up on this. I'll have a look at the text processing piece of code.

Stefan,

I've set the communty's text wrapping to 80 characters. Any more than 80 consecutive characters and it will insert a break character. Hopefully that will be enough space for other, substantial URLs.

I don't mind the line wrap in display. The problem is that it also did this in the URL tag - and not just a blank but also a <br /> token (which not even is valid html). Maybe you can exclude the URL tag from this rule?
