I bought IS Express Professioanl v1.1 for deploying
16-bit and 32-bit Delphi programs that use InterBase
databases.
When I want to deploy a 32-bit version of my delphi
programs, choosing and setting up the InterBase Aliases
is very simple. When choosing the type of alias, I am
offerred a list of :
DBASE
INTRBASE
MSSQL
ORACLE
PARADOX
SYBASE
When I tell IS that the target platform is 16 bit, the choice
of Aliases is reduced to :
DBASE
PARADOX
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a MAJOR problem for anyone
wanting to deply 16-bit applications that use decent RDBMS.
InstallShields response seems to be....tough ****!
If I'm being very cynicle, and there is a solution, could
someone oblige and let me know.
