uninstall failed - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: run Exception in thread "main"
Hi All,
I am using ISMP 10.5 to create an installer supporting English only (i.e not localized). When installing on a Japanense Windows OS (WinXP+SP2 and Win2003 EE+SP1) with the following install locaiton, C:\表評票機本枝翻チタミ\Test it installed successfully. However, when performing uninstall using the C:\表評票機本枝翻チタミ\Test\_uninst\uninstaller.exe or through Add/Remove Programs Panel it failed with the following message popup: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: run Exception in thread "main". I understand that these japanese characters have the same bytes as the english these special characters, @[\]^'{|}~. What I can not understand is why it only failed for uninstall while allowing the install process to work fine? In addition, with ISMP 5.3 we do not experience this problem at all. <-- This observation was not correct. This problem does exist for ISMP v5.3 Also if I used the command line "java -cp uninstall.jar run" then the uninstall can launch fine. However we really need to be able to through Add/Remove Programs Panel or using the uninstall.exe launcher. Did I miss something or ISMP 10.5 will keep on breaking functionalities that used to work fine in ISMP 5.3? <-- This observation was not correct. This problem does exist for ISMP v5.3 Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated here. Shane L. Last edited by Prospov : 09-25-2006 at 09:52 PM. |
