I am trying to install on Windows 2003, at the very end installer hangs. I see lots of MSI Leaked Handle errors in the log file, but this is it. Can anyone explain what is going on and how to avoid this?
I am attaching the extract from the log file, also I have noticed that I have 3 msiexec.exe processes running in the Task Manager, 2 under System account, 1 under Administrator, is it normal? I have the exact same problem. It appears that the counter on the Leaked MSI Handle decrements but then gets overwritten with the (590232) value. After that, it quits decrementing and, therefore, continues ad infinitum.
It would be nice if InstallShield gave us a work-around. ![]() |

mathematica installation problem
I'm running Vista and I'm installaling a program (i'm not the developer) that it's installer has been developed with InstallShield 8.
I cant apply the hotfix, so what can I do to complete my installation? I have appended the log file in case you want to examine it. |
