I'm getting the same issue using Crystal 9 merge modules with Installshield Express 5, it dosn't look like the CRPE32.DLL is being dropped onto the machine even though I am selecting the merge module which contains the file.

There could be various reasons for the failure of dll with report viewer, the most commonly reported issue with Crystal report 9 is with the OCX.
I suggest you visit the following KB article: http://support.crystaldecisions.com/...maspzone_howto If you have not used the OCX, then I suggest you provide me the complete error message and confirm whether you are using some dot net components and any other details that you think would help me to find the solution. |

I'm using crystal 9 with VS 2002 and am trying to create a setup for a windows .net application using IS express 5. I have tried to upgrade my exisiting IS express 4.1 project which used crystal reports.net and have also created a new IS project from scratch. I'm installing on a Win2K machine. If I copy the CRPE32.DLL from my machine onto the target machine then I get past this error but it then comes up with unable to loaded database.... error

It seems you do not have .NET framework SDK installed on your system, I suggest you to install the .NET Framework SDK first, then install the CR Redist to get all the runtime on your server.
Similar problems have been resolved earlier by installing .NET Framework SDK before CR Redist. Take a look at the following post for more information about the CR redist package. http://www.crystaldecisions.com/x-ju...d=43705#m43705 |
