Question Install Hangs near end Thousands of Leaked MSIHandles

An install that works on Windows 2000 is attempted on Windows 2003. Near the end of the install the message box remains on the screen and it never terminates. A look at the log where it appears to be going awry shows what appears to be some kind of MSI loop. Can someone suggest a course of action to obtain further diagnostics that may help with this type of an issue? Should I Dump windows, save log files, etc? Thanks:
Here is some log output:

Leaked MSIHandle on Windows 2003

Hello, I am having the same problem on Windows 2003. Have you had any resolution to this issue? It appears that the counter for the Leaked MSIHandle is overwritten with a single value which then quits decrementing.

Hi

In case you have not downloaded the hotfix for this yet, there is one available. Here is the article about this fix.
