Where to find error code meanings; error code 2711

Right after my installscript stuff goes, asking me for destination and to select custom features, etc. and what looks to be immediately before the files begin install, I get an error dialog stating:

"Internal Error 2711" and names a feature..that's it.

I tried to look up this error in MSI Help and Developer help with no luck. I couldn't even find any 2xxx serires error messages!

Can someone point me where to find this help on my own, and/or tell me what this means? Thanks,

More info. If I uncheck the feature that was giving me the error at runtime in the Custom dialog, then I don't get the error.

However, nothing installs! Yet the installer runs through all of its sequences, just quickly skips over "Copying Files". I have no directory created, no files transferred, no folder under the start menu, etc. There is an entry in Add/Remove programs though. When I click on it to unisntall, it instantly is removed with nothing else happening.

Bizarre. This installer was working find with 7.02! Any ideas why this all may be happening?

I did look at the created .cab file. It does have the proper files within it that I can see. So I don't get it...

Theres already a thread on error code 2711 from last week. Have you read this? Maybe it helps you. You can find it using the search menu.

Thanks for the info. That person was having the same problem I was...I figured it out; it was because I needed to change the GUID's...
