Setup destroy other setups

Hello,

I create a setup with latest release of german ISD: 701. On user has following constellation:

User: Administrator
Win2k Prof
System run since 2 weeks.

Other installed programs: Autocad 2002 (installation based also on windows installer in combination with wise solution). Works fine since also 2 weeks.

Now this user try my setup. The initialization fails, because:
1607--Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime

But this is only one problem. After this point of time, the application autocad not work correctly. After loading a file there a windows installer window is showing -> error -> shut down of autocade.
So we try to repair autocad. But we cant start this setup: invalid command line paramter.

Any idea??

If you are installing a newer version of WindowsInstaller with your setup, the user will have to reboot the WindowsInstaller setup, before they continue with your setup.

Do not supress reboot of WindowsInstaller setup.

this has been my experience with similar problem.

thank you for answer,

I think, our setup install the version 2.0 of windows installer on this computer. Our setup don't delay reboot, because our setup follows some other setup's and this was problematic!

Now we have the following situation:
The user can't start the windows installer service manually! I don't know why So the user will now try to do a repair installation of windows 2000. I hope, it works...
