I have an installer that is causing a "Component Transfer Error" to occur at random places (7%, 25%, etc. of total installation). This error only gives the File Group and Error is something like Unexpected Failure. (Installer is version 6.1)

This error occurs on File Groups that are over 400 MB in size (images and sound files).

This error has only occurred on a Dell Celeron Windows 98 machine with DMA on. If DMA is turned off it doesn't occur. With a different CD-ROM Drive this doesn't occur. On another machine with Windows 98 this doesn't occur.

After the installer gives this error the first time through, I get a Kernal error window stating that this is going to shutdown the installer. When I start the installer again without rebooting, it successfully installs.

I need this to be fixed through the installer, however I don't know where to go for help. Can anyone help me? Please.
