    Angry Setup.inx not found??

I have created a basic script to use in a custom action and when I build the install I get the message...

"Error -1024: File :\Tactica\Production\Installs\Client\Tactica\Interm\Setup.inx not found. Cannot stream the file into the Binary table"

What the heck does this mean? When I checked the KB it seemed to indicate that this is a redistributable used *only* by Installshield Professional NOT Windows Installer edition.

Why is it that I can do basic things with this installer and it seems to break most times with a cryptic message?

I would have thought that for the money this product would be a little more helpful and less prone to breaking.

    Any help someone??

    Hello,

Try to delete setup.obs file, and then bild the project. It works when i have similar problem.

    solution to this problem!!!

    from http://community.macrovision.com/sho...d.php?t=131581 :

I have found a source of this problem. The innocent file named "program" in the root of drive C:\ totally corrupts installshield. I believe that this is a bug!

    Also...

You might want to recheck whether InstallShield did a little handy work for you and created some script while you weren't looking. In my case, OnSQLLogin. I noticed these errors started coming up and inx file wasn't being generated. Hmmm.. How this little bit of script got created escapes me. ANy ideas??
