    unistall .isu file - non existant

    I just created a new installshield package with IS 6.3 and when I go to
    uninstall it there is no ISU file

    Is there something else I need to setup to make this work?

    Thanks

    With InstallShield Professional 6.x, the uninstall log file is called
    Setup.ilg, and it's created in the directory DISK1TARGET points to,
    typically somewhere like "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation
    Information\{F59071C2-F3C6-477E-ACAE-5C7387498778}".

    Thanks Robert

    I found the file but now when I change the uninstall shortcut to use the
    file setup.ilg to uninstall it says it's corrupted

    Is there a new procedure or parameters to the shortcut that I need

    Thanks

    Try this:

    .....
    #define UNINST_LOGFILE_NAME "ANYNAME.ISU"
    .....
    function ProcessBeforeDataMove()
    STRING svLogFile;
    NUMBER nResult;
    begin
    ......
    InstallationInfo( @COMPANY_NAME, @PRODUCT_NAME, @PRODUCT_VERSION,
    @PRODUCT_KEY );

    {svLogFile is full path name where "ANYNAME.ISU" will be, svWhereToInstall
    if folder where your software installed}

    svLogFile = svWhereToInstall ^ UNINST_LOGFILE_NAME;

    nResult = DeinstallStart( svWhereToInstall, svLogFile, @UNINST_KEY, 0 );
    if (nResult < 0) then
    MessageBox( @ERROR_UNINSTSETUP, WARNING );
    endif;
    ......
    end;

    function SetupFolders()
    NUMBER nResult;
    STRING szCommandLine, szIconPath, szItemName, svLogFile;
    begin
    .....

    szItemName = "Uninstall My Product";
    szCommandLine = UNINST + " -f " + UNINST_LOGFILE_NAME;
    nResult = AddFolderIcon ( svDefGroup , szItemName, szCommandLine,
    TARGETDIR, DISK1TARGET ^ "Setup.exe", 0,
    "" , REPLACE);

    Delay(1);
    .....
    return nResult;
    end;

    This works for me..

    Hmmm I was using deinstallstart.

    I presume that does not work anymore with 6.30.

    What happens if I installed with the above command? Is there anyway to
    unistall now?

    Thanks for the help
