Sorry to have to post this here, but there doesn't seem to be a place to ask questions about earlier versions. Here is the problem in a nutshell:
Setup built with Installshield Express 5
Works just fine on everything through Windows 7...
...except when the system is Windows 7 installed over Vista.
...in that case, after initial dialogs and installation starts, the user gets a 1723 error referencing C:\windows\syswow64\msiexec.exe with the code R6034 below it.
I'm not sure why it is accessing syswow64, since this is a 32-bit app (and installer). In the log file it appears to be error 2835 that is actually occurring:

Research I've done prior to this indicates that some kind of dll is either missing or is being removed prematurely in a custom action (but this is a very vanilla Express project that installs a handlful of files under Program Files, includes MS merge modules for the rest and allows no custom actions). Again, this has never occurred on original Windows 7 systems, only two that had Windows 7 installed over a previous version. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could try or look at to resolve this? Thanks!
