I have created a smart device project which is used to install an exe and creates a shortcut in \Programs\Start Menu. Its a very simple project [ism] file which can be shared if required.

I have a few questions related to this installer -
1. How do I specify version of my product in the installer?

2. The project when built creates only a cab file. How do I create a setup.exe which can be run on desktop and then it automatically triggers installation on the pocket pc device when used along with Active Sync? I am not able to find ways of creating that exe for desktops

3. It appears that if I keep doing installations using this, it keeps on adding new shortcuts in \Programs\Start Menu. How do I make sure that previous shortcuts are delete when the installation starts.

Any help here would be well appreciated.
