Question about file targets in Setup Project
i'm evaluating InstallShield 2008. our development tree consists of visual studio 2005 solutions (.sln) for each product (windows and web), and each solution contains projects (.vsproj).
We currently use Microsoft Setup Projects, and the main technical hurdle I'm trying to get over is Visual Studio's default behavior of adding to the 'detected dependancies' and thus installing components that we don't want.
Our two main setup projects are client (placing .net components in [Program Files]\[Company]\[Product]\) and server (placing .net components in the GAC).
So far I've managed to add an InstallShield setup project to on of my solutions. Using the Project Assistant, I added the output of the projects in my solution to INSTALLDIR. Problem is, it seems to want to put the outputs in subdirectories named for the project from which the output is coming from. Is there a way to change it so the output goes to the INSTALLDIR only?
