    10.5 XML KBs published w/ links to hotfixes

    We've published three Knowledge Base (KB) articles regarding three distinct issues with InstallShield 10.5's XML support.

    HOTFIX: Leaked MSIHANDLE Log Entries Are Present When Including an XML File
    <http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q111365>

    HOTFIX: IS_PROGMSG_XML missing from Property table
    <http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q111366>

    HOTFIX: XML Import Crash
    <http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q111364>

    For more information on each of these hotfixes, please refer to the individual KB articles.

    Thanks,

    bob

    Please make this thread sticky

    Please make this thread sticky. It was buried on the third page.

    Thanks for getting this patch out.

    Import with DOCTYPE set is still broken.

    I have the right versoin of the DLL (as specified in a different thread)

    The crash is caused by a REMOTE DTD, and not a local one I believe. I haven't tested a local one since the HotFix.

    I'll try to attach the XML file.

    Wow. How long did this fix take after MANY people reported it? Frankly, I'm going with another installer product at my next job.

    And of course the best question is: Can this hotfix fix the installed computers that were completely pooched by this bug? I lost at least one server over this. Thanks, InstallShield.

    HotFix(es)

    Does the bundled.zip file include all the HotFixes?
    I don't need to download separate files for each?

    thanks,

    Daren
