Error 1723.. No CA... Error before copying..

    Hi there,

We have a Windows 2000 system running a Japanese environment. There are no Cutsome Actions being installed. Just before the copying of files start.. the following message is got:

"Error 1723.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

The installer runs fine on all systems.. just on the Japanese environment it gives us this problem.

This looks like an InstallShield custom action.

Have you tried looking at the install shield knowledge base?

    Hi,

I did look through the Knowledge Base.. but no information related to the specified DLL was available.

Also try search the Install Shield forums in case anyone else has seen the problem.

Try running the Isscript.msi file by itself to see if it runs correctly.

You might also be able to install this with verbose logging if it fails.

If all else fails, then log an issue with install shield support.
