.net installation in 7.04, after upgrading from 7.02

My understanding is that the folder C:\Program Files\InstallShield\Developer\Redist\0409\i386 must have 4 files
    _ISRes.dll
    dotnetfx.exe
    dotnetredist.exe
    dotnetredistSp1.exe
in order to ship .NET component (separate or part of setup.exe) with my application. Correct me if I'm wrong that these are 5 files or 3 or different.

My files are corrupt/bad/old. Dont know what but its not installing .NET component prior to my application which is required.

Release view setting is correct. The only thing I did wrong is upgrading 7.02 to 7.04

I've tried old 7.02 files, I've tried files from microsoft site. I've couple of dotnetfx.exe's, some old some new. Different dotnetfx.exe is giving different kind of installation files.

I've one dotnetfx.exe of size 114KB other is 118KB other is 20MB, collected from microsoft and other sites. Dont know which is right for me.

Can anyone please direct me to the link from where I can get the correct 4 files for 7.04? And if possible the can anyone please mention the size of files dotnetfx.exe and dotnetredist.exe for 7.04

    Thanks

    Abbas,

You are correct in that those four files should exist in that folder. The correct file sizes are as follows:

    _IsRes.dll - 284 KB
    dotnetfx.exe - 140 KB
    dotnetredist.exe - 19.7 MB
    dotnetredistSp1 - 1.13 MB

I have seen the problem you describe occur occasionally when customers upgrade from a previous version of Developer to Developer 7.04.

I would suggest contacting support@installshield.com, and ask for the link to the full version of Developer 7.04. Then uninstall your current version, and do a fresh install of Developer 7.04. This has been known to correct this behavior.
