Uninstall Upgrade or Patch

Is there a way to uninstall an upgrade or patch which leaves the original installation intact, or do you have to use another product like RTPatch which has this capability?

Alas, Windows Installer doesn't support removing a patch or part of an upgrade; see, for example, this Microsoft KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q249072.

I can tell you one thing: RTPatch. Less overhead and works like a charm.

We got tored of dealing with MS limitations.

We still use Major Upgrades when the situation calls for it but patches only thru RTPatch.
