Install Shield Engine Reinstall?

Do you know if there is a way to reinstall the install shield?

I am trying to install the drivers for my Creative Soundblaster Live 5.1 PCI Sound Card, and whether I use the CD or the drivers i downloaded off the net, I get the install shield run to 100%, then the Microsoft Error Report telling me there was an error in the installshield(R) engine and it will now close!!!
What do I do?
It wont go past there, and I dont know how to reinstall the install shield

Hello,

if the Creative Setup is a MSI-Setup, I would try to create a LOG file to get more information and/or delete the engine ( ..\program files\common files\installshield\engine\6\... ). Ít will be created new at the beginning of the installation.
