Hi!

I have problem with install program created by Installshield Developer.

I try to install it on NT 4.0 Terminal Server. I can install properly my
product from console only.
If I try to do it from terminal session with administrative privileges I
receive error:

1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime.

Installation from console executes without any errors.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Arthur

In the mode that fails, can you run ISScript.msi manually and see if that
works? If not, could you try logging the installation of ISScript.msi and
posting the log for me. I will look at that and see if that yields any
usefull information.

Hi!

Manual installation ISScript.msi works fine, but if I try to install
manually my product Prod.msi I receive error message:
Product: Prod -- Error 1719.The Windows Installer Service could not be
accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the
Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel
for assistance.

Similar situation is described on Microsoft Support web side:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q217521

In that case it is problem of user rights. I try to install my product from
terminal session with administrative privileges.

I think that can be problem of Terminal Server but not IS Developer.
