Hello All,
I am a newbee to the InstallShield. A great product to create installers. I was wondering if 2 of the follwoing are possible.
1. Is it possible to read a config file (something like an .ini file) using the installer at the run time and decide which installer component is required and 2. fetch the installer from the server using a URL over the http or ftp at the run time.
Will custom actions written using install scripts help me in this regard? If these things are possible, which version of installshield is best suited for this? Any one of you have done this kind of installer already?
