Hi there

how do i check if a program (office or outlook) is installed during the installation process? I then need to not install some of our components if the programs are not etected. can i do any of this in exp 11.5?

I have done this by running a custom action that queries HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\[8.0 or 9.0 or 10.0 or 11.0]]\[Word or Outlook]\InstallRoot and then checking the version info of WINWORD.exe or OUTLOOK.exe in that location. I also needed the version (2000/XP/2003) that was installed, so I had to go this way. There could be a simpler way...
