Patching problem

Using IS 11.5 - I am have issues where the patch is not updating/registering dlls properly. We are in the process of trying to recreate the problem but it appears that there may be a timing issue. Most of the time if we apply the same patch again then the dlls are updated properly.

We use virtual machines in our test environment. Using the same base template, we apply a patch which appears to run successfully. Then, after rebooting we get application errors. Some research indicated that the dlls were not registered. We restored the base image again, applied the exact same patch again and everything updated properly.

Has anyone had any problems with the patch not updating dlls properly or not registering them properly, etc.?
