We have now purchased the Flexnet software but have hit a major problem.
We are on a critical release for our product so I appreciate if you
could help us asap.
The problem is that on Linux 64-bit (RHEL3) it fails to launch lmgrd
with our daemon. We get the following errors:
lmgrd -c counted.lic
......
20:12:18 (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ...
20:12:18 (imagicad) FLEXnet Licensing version v10.8.2.1 build 30341
20:12:18 (lmgrd) Started imagicad (internet tcp_port 36352 pid 5647)
20:12:18 (imagicad) Server started on localhost.localdomain for:

20:12:18 (lmgrd) imagicad using TCP-port 36352
20:12:18 (lmgrd) imagicad exited with status 0 signal = 17
20:12:18 (lmgrd) Since this is an unknown status, license server
20:12:18 (lmgrd) manager (lmgrd) will attempt to re-start the vendor
daemon.
20:12:18 (lmgrd) REStarted imagicad (internet tcp_port 36355 pid 5648)

I tried the following license file:
SERVER this_host ANY
VENDOR imagicad
#a counted license
FEATURE f1 imagicad 1.0 permanent 4 SIGN="00C5 3FA6 84EB F7BB 157B \
7FE4 B7E7 FA00 1F8D 43DE 920A E759 7140 B3A8 4725"
This license file is the 'counted.lic' example except I changed the
vendor from demo to imagicad
I attached the following:
1. Full Error log
2. Our imagicad license daemon in a zip file
I tried the same experiment on Windows 32-bit, built the SDK and it
works fine.
i.e. Windows 32 bit v10.8.2.1 works
i.e. Linux 64 bit v10.8.2.1 does NOT work
NOTE - DURING OUR EVAL I WAS ABLE TO GET THE LINUX64 SYSTEM WORKING. WE
EVALED FLEXNET 11.3. SO I KNOW THAT THIS HAS WORKED ON THIS LINUX64 MACHINE.
HOWEVER WE MUST USE v10.8.2.1 AS THIS HAS IRIX SUPPORT AND 11.3 DOES NOT
SUPPORT IRIX.
