How can i launch an exe to upgrade the application?

Well,another newbie question :o . I have to add an option in my set up so it launches an exe that performs an upgrade. As far as i know, i have to use a custom action, setting its type as "launch an executable". Now, how do i have to do it so i can pass some parameters to the executable?. And also, among those 4 options i can pick in "location", which one should i choose knowing the exe will be stored in the cd-rom, as my set up will be cd-rom based?. Im in quite a hurry with this, so any help will be really apreciated :)

You can definitely try it this way - see properties SourceDir and SETUPEXEDIR for the Directory or Property value locations (for this usage I'd avoid Installed with, and tend against Binary table) - or you might find it easier to craft the upgrade as a prerequisite. I'm not sure that one way is better than the other based on your description; I just wanted to put the option out for you to consider.
