uninstall does not work after an automatic upgrade.
I have installed an older version of a program.
The program consists of a windows service and a application that will turn on and of the service amongst other things.
The new installation works fine.. It upgrades the old version and uninstalles it. But when you go to add remove programs and go to remove the new version it acts like its about to do something then quits with no error messages or anything! you cant re run the new install to get to the remove options. The only way I can get it uninstalled is to run msiexec.exe /x {A89A15BD-02A3-476C-9234-21C8320E982A}. if I run the new install on a machine that doesnt have the old install on it I can remove the program with no problems.
I will admit that Im new to using installshield 11.5 and am used to using IS 11 Express so pleaxse forgive my ignorance.
