applet distribution won't install on Mac

Whenever I try to install my application from the web using the applet dist. on Max OS X with Safari, it fails.

The app is downloaded, but isnt run. I get the sys_not_supported.htm page saying my OS isnt supported.

The html files that load the applet correctly link to myappsetup.command.

Any ideas?
