3.51 (xla file type) - Does not add to project

I recently upgraded to 3.51 from 2.x. I spent the past several hours reading and learning about the new feature. For what I do and if the functionality worked, it would have saved me some time and headaches.

Problem
I added my Microsoft Excel Add-in file (xla) and the Installshield Express did not recognize the file. I received an Error -1023 (file not found) when the project was built.

When I added the Excel Add-in file, I noticed that the modified date and time was empty and that the file size was 0 bytes. I know this is not the case.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem. Thanks in advance.

Problem solved.

When I was creating the project, I had the xla file open. Once I closed Excel, everything was fine.

Although I figured it out on my own, it should would have been nice to see an error message saying that it cannot perform the function because the file was in use or open.
