Hi,

I currently have a project that used Installshield Professional Version 5.0. How or can I upgrade the project to a Installshield Developer 7.0 project?

I've looked at some documentation so far and it tells me that I need to upgrade the project to Installshield Professional 5.5 first? How can I do this?

I currently have access to Installshield Professional 5.0 and Installshield Developer 7.0 installed.

Thank you,
Enoch Chum

In order to upgrade to Developer 7, you will need to update your project to atleast IsPro 5.53. Since InstallShield is not selling IsPro 5.53 anymore, your best bet is to download eval IsPro 6.3 and migrate your IsPro 5.0 project to it. This may cause some error messages, which you can ignore and then proceed to upgrading your project to Developer 7. For more information on downloading IsPro 6.3, visit us at http://www.installshield.com/isp/

FYI.....
This is Express Bulletin and should only be used for Express related questions. This will help the entire InstallShield community in getting help with technical issues and keeping these issues well documented for future references. We are working on migrating InstallShield Developer news groups over, which may take some time. In the mean time, please submit your Developer 7 questions via the regular newsgroups.

Thanks,
Neeru

Enoch,

We are currently working on making this a seamless process. In the meantime, if you would like to send me your project, I will upgrade it to 5.5 so you can upgrade it to developer.

Please feel free to send it to Joelt@InstallShield.Com.

Thanks,
