I like the option where it asks to download and install, download and save, etc. What Install type project is this? I'm lost in the plethora of projects. Share how you built your installation for us to learn from please.
Thanks

This is an InstallScript project. Any InstallScript project can be built as a One-Click Install. It can be hosted on any web server. The InstallShield Update Service is not required. Let me know if there are any more details you would like.

Thanks Art!
I think it would be neat, and professional, for you all to have an article "Here's how we did DevStudio's install..." and show us how the experts built it and executed this nicely done installation. We use this product because we want InstallShield's name on our installation...we'd also like to use an installation such as InstallShield selected for their flagship product.
Just my $.02.

That is a great idea! The DevStudio 9 install is interesting because we chose to use the wide range of functionality provided by the tool. In particular, we wanted to use both the InstallScript engine and the Windows Installer engine. So...
- The DevStudio 9 install is InstallScript.
- The AdminStudio install (currently under development) uses a set of Windows Installer merge modules to install DevStudio.
- Certain shared components are incorporated using the InstallScript merge module object.
It has been an interesting and rewarding process to exploit these features in the creation of our own setup.
