Crystal 9 Merge Modules Internal Error 2763

Added the regwiz, license, and reportengine msm files to the simplest installation (that copies only one file to target machine). Edited the regwiz, and license in direct edit mode and entered our license key (although i don't see the license file in the merge modules view). Added InstallExecute to sequences after BindImage.

I get an Internal Error 2763, followed by an error 1603 followed by a failed installation. Some files actually get installed

Did anyone resolve the problem, and how?

I am having the same problem. Why is it that Crystal cannot release a merge module that will work. I have yet to get an install to work. This should be very straight forward.

Hope someone finds a fix and quick. I don' have time for this!

The installshild 8 seams to be working better with those merge modules. I have downloaded the demo, and that did not have any problem installing crystal. I have just recieved the upgrade for my installed shield, but have not tried it yet. According to some members of this forum it should work too.

I have tried the solution posted in this thread (http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103420&highlight=Internal+Error+2763) and it worked fine for me.

Basically, they say the follow KB article Q106852 (http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?pcode=ALL&articleid=Q106852) BUT to insert the InstallExecute action BEFORE InstallFinalize (instead of after BindImage).

I am using Developer 7.03 and it worked fine for me.
