Help,
I can't seem to get ISMP5.0 itself to install. The installer starts claims that it is starting the installshield wizard and then simply disappears.
Any thoughts out there?

It could be a number of things. First, try running the MP50_xxx file with the command
./MP50_xxx.bin -is:javahome /path/to/jvm
(above is for Unix. Windows is similar)
InstallShield offers free technical support for issues related to installing ISMP itself. Please submit an issue via our support page (http://support.installshield.com/contact/default.asp) .

There's also a -is:log command-line switch you can use, which might help; on Win32, for example, the command might be something like:
setup.exe -is:log c:\ismplog.txt

Looks like it had something to do with PCAnywhere. I installed via terminal services just fine.
Weird, thanks for the advice though.
