GPO Deployment Error

I'm trying to use active directory to deploy a fairly simple VB app across a WAN. When I try to add the MSI package to GPO I get the following message:

'Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is correct.'

I've validated the package through Developer 8, and I can run the MSI as a simple attended installation.

Any pointers to where I've gone wrong in creating the MSI?

Make sure you have the latest MSI engine installed in the server.
